Ji-hyun Youn
Ji-hyun studied Korean tradition dance technique and majored in classic ballet at the University of Seoul. After graduating in 1996 she worked with two professional dance and theatre companies in Seoul and Suwon. In 1999 she moved to the Netherlands to study choreography at the European Dance Development Center in Arnhem (EDDC) and is currently participating in the post-academic programme, DasArts (Advanced research in Theatre & Dance studies), in Amsterdam.She has worked since 1997 as a freelance choreographer and dancer in Seoul, Amsterdam, Berlin and Bristol. Recently she presented her research project OIKOS in collaboration with Hilary Jeffery (composer/musician), Yukiko Nezu (architect), Jakub Deml (visual artist) during the DasArts festival
