Laura Hille

Laura Hille studied Sociology and Cultural Anthropology between 2007 and 2014 at the University of Hamburg. Since 2014 she has been engaged in doctoral studies and teaching at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg. In her doctoral thesis “Gefährliche Materie. Biohacking als Technologie einer Kybernetischen Biopolitik” (“Dangerous material. Biohacking as technology of a cybernetic biopolicy”), she examines the highly topical question of the (bio-)technological reformulation of life. Laura Hille is an associate member of the Centre for Digital Cultures (DCRL) and since 2015 has been a member of the editorial team for the online journal spheres-journal.org.
