Ozan Nadir Alakavuklar

Ozan Nadir Alakavuklar is an Associate Professor of Organization Studies at the Utrecht University’s School of Governance. He is interested in non-capitalist forms of organizing, activism and social change and draws arguments from critical political economy. He initiated the ‘Social movements, resistance and social change conference’ in Aotearoa New Zealand, in 2014, that was held until 2021 and acted as a bridge between academics and activists. Currently, Ozan Nadir Alakavuklar is the project coordinator of AndersUtrecht that aims to map and bring grassroots organizations together in Utrecht city to build a network of sustainability transformation from below. He is also the program coordinator of the international Master’s program ‘Organizing Social Impact’, focusing on activist forms of organizing for social change.
