Paul Kaiser
Paul Kaiser is a digital artist whose work in multimedia grew out of his earlier work in experimental filmmaking. He also works in interdisciplinary areas and has been involved in realising projects with prominent choreographers, such as Merce Cunningham, Bill T. Jones and Robert Wilson.In 1996, Kaiser became the first interactive artist to receive a Guggenheim Fellowship.
Kaiser's major artworks include If by chance (1999), an abstract animation series, Hand-Drawn Spaces (1998) und BIPED (1999), both collaborations with Merce Cunningham and Shelley Eshkar, and Visionary of Theater (1994-96), an interactive documentary on Robert Wilson's early work.
