His work centres on interactive art and hyper media installations. In 1991, he was awarded the Prix Ars Electronica "Golden Nica" in Linz. He has become increasingly involved with the subject of telematics since 1993. Paul Sermon holds the position of Reader in Creative Technology at The University of Salford, Research Centre for Art & Design, Manchester, England, since June 2000.
