Changing memories of weather phenomena or plants as sources of food and reservoirs of knowledge: the open Residency Café ›Plants & Memories‹ offered insights into the work of resident artists Razcel Jan Salvarita and aniara rodado.
The transdisciplinary activist and artist Raz from the Philippines developed a performative duet at PACT with the 79-year-old artist Elle Divine as part of a larger artistic research project on memories of weather. Meanwhile, starting from the world of plants, Colombian artist and choreographer Aniara Rodado explored the forgotten, demonized, and multifaceted knowledge of the Coca plant and its connections to the people who use, cultivate, and care for it. Visitors were invited to engage in conversation with both artists and their teams over coffee, tea, and cake.
