Saghar Hosseinpour is a choreographer based in Tehran. She came to PACT while she was working on her long-term research project which is mainly about the relationship between motion and architecture.
She views creating physical situations, or manipulating and disrupting ready made urban spaces as a way to stimulate physical alertness and produce real-time, instantaneous movements, while also opening questions about the act of dance.
She asks:
How much of our daily work is the result of our being here and now?
Do we represent a pre-designed program?
Where is the boundary of action and inaction?
