Pausing

  • Sat 12.04.14 20 h

The starting point for ›PAUSING‹ by Ioannis Mandafounis and May Zarhy is the idea that the existence of a movement, much like the essence of poetry, cannot be consistently explained or defined by reasoning. Yet we are continually surrounded by movement that can guide, intrigue or touch us. ›PAUSING‹ negotiates the liminal space between dance and movement, between imaginary scenes and momentary realities. Together the performers create a personal account of intimacy and invite the audience to pause and encounter the ephemeral for but a short moment.

Before the performance, the artists are offering a warm-up at 19.00 h for everyone who’d like to join in and gain an insight into their choreographic practice through simple exercises. No previous experience or special clothing required! Following the warm up there will be a break for refreshments before the performance starts.
