... was born in 1972 in Ilan, Taiwan. From 1982-1989 she performed in Europe, the USA and Japan with the Lan Yan dance group. From 1990-1994 she studied dance at the Chinese Culture University where she gained a Bachelor of fine Arts degree. For the following five years she taught for the Lan Yan dance group and at the Schun-An Junior High School. Since 1999, she has been studying at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. In January 2000 she took part in the "Coaching Projekt 2000" directed by Rui Horta at the Tanzhaus NRW. Between 2000 and 2002 she was involved in diverse projects including "Arche Noah", choreographed by Chriss Comtesse, at the Stadttheater Krefeld-Mönchengladbach and the Berliner Tanztagen. An-chi Tsao will present her 10-minute solo "Im Gebirge" based on the same named Chinese poem by ZHI_MA, XU (1895-1912), in PACT Zollverein's April Atelier 2003.
