... born in 1977 in Bremen, studied composition from 1998 to 2003 with Nicolaus A. Huber and Thomas Neuhaus at the Folkwang Academy in Essen and was subsequently awarded a DAAD scholarship which took him to Beat Furrer in Graz. Seidl writes compositions for solo instruments, ensembles, live electronic and tape-music and has appeared with, amongst others, the Ensemble Oriol, the Thürmchen Ensemble, the Saxemble, the KNM Berlin and the Klangforum Wien. He lives and works as an independent composer in Giessen. dis.playce was founded in 2002 by the musicians Maximilian Marcoll and Hannes Galette Seidl. They released their first CD, R, in May 2005.
