Spanish - born in 1963After Bask folk, ballet and contemporary education in Spain, Iñaki Azpillaga studied with Alwin Nikolais in New York. He worked with different companies in Spain, France and New York and made his own choreography, before joining Ultima Vez in 1994. From 1994 till 1997, Iñaki participated in the creation and performance of several Ultima Vez productions, followed by choreographic assistance for Vandekeybus' latest creations "In Spite of Wishing and Wanting" (1999), "Inasmuch as Life is borrowed" (2000) and "Blush" (2002). Iñaki Azpillaga regularly teaches different dance companies in Brussels and leads numerous dance workshops in Europe and abroad. Since 1997 he also creates light designs for dance projects.
