Irina Müller studied choreography and dance at SNDO (School for New Dance Development) in Amsterdam until 2003. Since then she is based in Berlin working in the field of performing arts as choreographer, performer and dramaturge. Her latest piece ›In a Lightscape‹ premiered at Sophiensaele Berlin in 2012. In her work dichotomies serve as productive paradoxes that set relations into motion. The piece ›On pleasure and fear‹ e.g. traces the fine lines between these two states. It premiered at Tanz im August Berlin in 2010. In the same year she was artist in residence at Tanzwerkstatt Berlin. 2007 she received the cultural development price from the city of Schaffhausen, Switzerland and in 2008 a fellowship of the Senat Berlin. Currently Irina Müller is making an MA in dramaturgy at the Zürich School of the Arts (ZHdK) Switzerland and her interests are the initiation of transdisciplinary formats.
