Jochen Stechmann
… was born in 1973 in Germany. From 1994-1998 he studied mathematics and physics and was also a member of the gay male theatre collective "FAUNA" working in Berlin and Hamburg. From 1998-2002 he attended the Fontys Dansacademie in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Since then he's appeared as a dancer and performer in various dance and theatre productions including "Away or Enough" by S. Manya (DAS Arts), "B.A.G.G.E.R." directed by K. van Issum with the ensemble TRASH (2001), the audio visual installation "Erotheque" (2002) with O. Kloss, and B. Separovi's "WHO IS? WOYZECK" with the Performing Unit/Montastroj (2002). He has toured extensively in Slovenia, Croatia, Yugoslavia, Germany, The Netherlands and Norway. Most recently he has performed with the ensemble TRASH in Tilburg in "La femme qui rit". His own choreographies include the solos "DoubtfulBody" (2002) und "Schorf" (2003).
