Kathy Rylands
Kathleen Rylands was born in Great Britain and trained at the Royal Ballet Upper School and the Central School of Ballet in London. After dancing as a guest artist with Moving Visions Dance Company (Director: Ross McKim) she joined Tanz Forum in Cologne in1986 and quickly advanced to company soloist. In 1995 she became Jochen Ulrich's choreographic assistant and began teaching and coaching the company on a regular basis. In 1999 she joined the Euregio Dans Forum under the direction of Bruno Jacquin and was responsible for directing company rehearsals as well as teaching classical and modern classes.In 2001 Kathy joined the Basle Ballet directed by Richard Wherlock as company teacher and rehearsal director. Since 2002 she is company teacher and choreographic assistant in Bern, Switzerland and is currently in Essen staging Jochen Ulrich's production "Diaghilew: Die Favoriten" for the Aalto Ballet.
