Laymert Garcia is a professor of philosophy and sociology at Campinas University, São Paulo. He has expertise on Sociology of Technology and Contemporary Art, especially on issues such as biotechnology, film, ICTs, traditional people and Brazilian politics. One focus of Laymert Garcia’s research is to study the indigenous population of the Amazon region. He currently coordinates the Laboratory of Culture and Network Technology.
