Marny Garcia Mommertz's practice as a writer and artist is based on exploring experimental forms of archiving. She is interested in strengthening Afro-diasporic artist communities in Germany, the Netherlands, Cuba and Brazil, currently works as Managing Editor for Contemporary And América Latina Magazine and holds a PACT Zollverein Fellowship. She received her master’s degree in Museum Studies from the University of Amsterdam.

Together with Fayo Said and Princela Biyaa, she founded the Association for Black Art_ists e.V.

The Association for Black Art_ists e.V. are part of PACT’s Fellowship programme 2022/2023.
