Dancer, teacher and choreographerBorn in Costa Rica. Attended drama and dance courses at the Universidad de Costa Rica. In 1986 joined the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen under Pina Bausch's guidance. Rodolfo has 13 years of experience working with companies such as Folkwang Tanz Studio, Wuppertaler Bühne and Joachim Schlömer. In 1998 he returned to Costa Rica and worked as a dance teacher at the Universidad Nacional while simultaneously collaborating as cultural agent with the Taller Nacional de Danza (National Dance Workshop). He regularly joins Joachim Schlömer's company in Germany as guest dancer. Together with Costarican dancer Florencia Chaves, Rodolfo has founded the -donde una vez estuve- independent dance company. Currently both artists are working on their project Segundo round in residency at PACT Zollverein. Rodolfo is working on choreography, Florencia on direction for this latest piece. They hope to tour Segundo round through Central America in 2005.
