Roy Ascot
is an artist and theorist whose work has pioneered the creative use of cybernetics, telecommunication and interactive media. He has worked with global networks in co-operation with artists, musicians and academics since the 1980s. He is Professor and Founder-Director of CAiiA-STAR, an integrated research platform combining the Centre for Advanced Inquiry in the Interactive Arts, University of Wales College, Newport and the Science & Technology and Art Research Centre, University of Plymouth His current research focuses on Moistmedia and Technoethics. His scientific treatises to date encompass more than 120 papers and articles that have been translated into 9 languages.
