Sasa Queliz
... was born in the Dominican Republic and studied classical ballet in Santo Domingo and in Lyon, France. She has danced internationally with companies including "Danzahoy" and "Neodanza" in Caracas and "The Public Eye - Sara Gebran" group in Copenhagen. Since mid 2001 she has collaborated with Sasha Waltz and Benoit Lachambre at the Berliner Schaubühne, performed in the production "15" in fifteen seconds" by Joachim Schlömer at PACT Zollverein/Choreographisches Zentrum NRW and worked on a project with Angela Guerreiro in Hamburg. As a choreographer she has received international acclaim for works including "A-des tiempo (ojos cerrados que son seis pies que caminan)" and "0, Würfel, 1" created between 1998 and 2000 and is involved in ongoing collaborations with the dance company, Labor GRAS 888 and Jan Pusch. In addition to her choreographic activities, Sasa is engaged as a dancer at the Schaubühne Berlin until mid 2004.
