... began his career as a dancer and choreographer in Essen at the Folkwang Academy. He has choreographed works for the Folkwang Tanzstudio and the Bremer Tanztheater including, "Das Kalte Gloria", "Sanguis", "Onno", "Die Langsamkeit des Augenblicks", "DO RE MI FA SO LATITOD", "Moment Mal!" and "Die Nacht P.M.". He has also created two solo programs that he performs himself, "Da war plötzlich..." and "An der Grenze des Tages". Urs Dietrich has received numerous prizes and awards including The City of Essen Kurt Joos Prize, the NRW state sponsorship prize and the Bremer Theatre Kurt-Hübner-Prize.
