… studied at the London Contemporary Dance School and the Theater School Amsterdam and has danced with the Dansgroep Krisztina de Chatel, Itzik Galili, the Sächsische Staatsoper and Tanz-Forum Cologne, where, following her first choreography for the Szegedi Ballett in Hungary, she also created several pieces. Vera Sander was awarded the Kölner Tanzpreis (Cologne dance prize) in 1995 and again in 2001. In 1996 she won second prize in the "dialoog cultuur / NL-NRW" choreographic competition and was the recipient of the German Video Dance Prize in 1998. Since 1997, she works as a freelance choreographer and dancer in Germany and abroad. She is the founder of the independent dance ensemble VeraSanderArtConnects.
