Nowruz is widely celebrated not only in Afghanistan, Kurdistan, and Iran but also by many people in Germany. At PACT, we come together on this special day and warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the arrival of spring and the new year!

Our Sofreh Haftsin will serve as both a photo station for diasporic communities and our chosen family. Additionally, Taiiz Nawab will play an uplifting DJ set featuring Afghan, Kurdish, and Iranian music.

Let’s welcome the new year together—raise a glass, capture family moments, and dance! Because dance is life, and life is resistance.

DJ TAĪĪZ is a versatile Afghan artist born in Hamburg in the 1980s into a family of creatives. Her unique sets blend SWANA music with a variety of genres, including Hip Hop, Baile Funk, Afrobeat, Afghan Beats, and Desi/Bollywood. Beyond the decks, DJ TAĪĪZ is active as a radio host and curator, highlighting Afghan artists through events like Afghanistan’s Hidden Music Treasures and her podcast Soundspuren on Byte FM.
