In 2023, the music duo Blumengarten were awarded the popNRW Prize for »Best Newcomer« and the »Prize for Pop Culture« in the category »Most Promising Newcomer«. Singer Rayan Djima and producer Samuel ›Sammy‹ Eickmann went to the same school in North Rhine-Westphalia, but tended to avoid each other there. It was only after they graduated that they started making music in Sammy's basement. After a lot of trial and error and experimentation, their first EP ›Sag deinen Freunden, dass du sie liebst‹ (tell your friends that you love them) was created in this basement. The EP reflects the duo's diverse musical influences, delivering a warm, fresh sound that incorporates elements of hip-hop, indie, pop, and house.

The duo gained greater recognition with ›Paris Syndrom‹ (Roof Session) featuring Paula Hartmann. In early 2023, their second EP ›Versprochen, alles wird gut!‹ was released, earning Blumengarten a Polyton Award in the category ›Composition‹. As supporting act, Blumengarten has performed alongside artists including Ennio, Casper, Cro, 01099, and OK Kid, and has participated in festivals including c/o pop, Modular Festival, Juicy Beats, Appletree Garden Festival, and Traumzeit-Festival.
