Although 85 percent of the galaxy consists of dark matter, it is invisible in the universe and is only noticeable through its effects on gravity. In ›DARKMATTER‹, dark matter serves as a metaphor for the invisible attributions and realities that impact our bodies. Following ›JEZEBEL‹ choreographer Cherish Menzo takes to the stage again together with performer Camilo Mejía Cortés. In an intense duo, the performers look for ways to detach their bodies from the way they are perceived and the daily reality in which they move. They look up to the sky, at dark matter and at black holes that meet and collide to give birth to a new, (afro)futuristic and enigmatic body. Together, they throw their bodies into a complex conversation where attributions dissolve and the power to reclaim one's own narrative is regained.

Please note: The work includes 20 minutes with intense bass, stroboscopic effects and total darkness. In some scenes nudity is present.
