French artist Fanny de Chaillé’s new work skillfully interweaves European and Japanese narrative traditions. Drawing on the ancient Japanese puppet theatre form Bunraku, Chaillé introduces a few decisive changes - the customary puppet role is taken by a dancer, the musician plays the ukulele instead of the shamisen and, in place of legends, the narrator recites from Thomas Bernhard’s play ›Minetti‹.
