Jan Decorte / bloet vzw

Belgian director and writer Jan Decorte’s latest work ›Much Dance‹ revolves around two extraordinary love stories. Four striking stage personalities address central experiences of human existence such as love, desire and death in unadorned images. Decorte’s distinctive and somewhat playful physical lyricism doesn’t require virtuosity, trained bodies or strict dance grammar. Instead, ›Much Dance‹ arrestingly attempts in music, words and dance, to confront an almost childlike quest for abstraction and clarity with a liberating anarchy of movement and the hesitant beauty of failure.
