Celebration of baroque styles and South American mythologies
Impressive vitality, expression and rhythms characterise the dance and music in Argentine folklore. It carries stories of the indigenous inhabitants of South America and shows traces of European cultures. Modern imperialism has pushed these traditions into the background. Laisné, Chaignaud and Larcher convey them into their artistic process. In a hypnotic mix of songs and dances they transform Baroque aesthetics and South American mythologies into a festive performance.
A production by Zorongo in association with mandorle productions.
Presented by PACT with the support of Ruhrtriennale.
