Needcompany, together with its most important European partners, is organising a travelling colloquium in Belgium, Germany, France, Slovenia and Lithuania. On the basis of the new play, The Lobster Shop, five contributors from different countries have been invited to shed light on Needcompany’s work from different perspectives. Their results will be published in essays in a forthcoming book on Needcompany, to be released in March 2007 by Ghent University Press.

Taking part in the colloquium at PACT are Prof. Hans-Thies Lehmann (theatre studies, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University, Frankfurt), Audronis Liuga (Director of Theatre and Cinema Information and Education Centre, Vilnius) and Prof. Luk Van den Dries (theatre studies, Antwerp University). The moderator is Dr. Nikolaus Müller-Schöll (theatre studies, Ruhr University Bochum).

Authors: Hans-Thies Lehmann (Professor for theater studies, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität, Frankfurt), Georges Banu (Professor for theatre studies, Sorbonne, Paris), Primoz Jesenko (Dramaturge, publicist and theatre critic, Slovania), Audronis Liuga (Director of Theatre and Cinema Information and Education Centre, Vilnius) and Christel Stalpaert (Professor for theatre studies, Gent Universität).
