Welcome to spring at the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex! While the event calendar of the »most beautiful coal mine in the world« is always well-filled even during the colder months, the advent of the outdoor season promises a further wealth of captivating attractions for visitors to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the north of Essen. On the 24. March, Zollverein celebrates the official kick-off of another year filled with exciting encounters and leisure pursuits. To mark the occasion at the onset of spring, visitors can expect many free activities throughout the site. The site’s local eateries, along with food trucks, will ensure that plenty of refreshments are available for all.

This year, PACT is once again participating in the event, offering guided tours led by team members through the former pithead baths building. These insightful tours will explore both its rich history and its current transformation into a vibrant arts venue. Additionally, PACT’s spacious foyer will be open, inviting guests to relax and linger while indulging in coffee and cake.
