Ben J. Riepe studied dance and choreography at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. After his graduation he joined V.A. Wölfl’s Dusseldorf based company Neuer Tanz and worked as a guest dancer with Pina Bausch’s Tanztheater Wuppertal.  In 2004 he founded the Ben J. Riepe Company. Since 2009 he is one of four choreographers supported by the government of North-Rhine-Westphalia’s three-year-funding-programme ›Spitzenförderung‹. In 2011 he received the sponsorship prize awarded to young artists by the NRW state capital Düsseldorf.  Ben was appointed ›Affiliated Artist‹ at PACT in 2013 where he has since presented ›the white void_series‹ (2013) and ›Der letzte Schrei, 3. Edition‹ (2015). His latest production ›Untitled: Persona‹ will premiere at PACT in autumn 2015.
