Fabrice Mazliah
Dancer and choreographer, Fabrice Mazliah (CH) was born in Geneva and studied dance at the Ecole de Danse de Genève, the National School of Athens and the Rudra Bejart Atelier in Lausanne. He was a member of the Nederlands Dans Theater in Holland before he joined Ballett Frankfurt directed by William Forsythe in 1997 and subsequently went on to work with the Forsythe Company from when it was established in 2005 until 2015. From 2016-2018 he worked with the artist collective HOOD within the framework of PACT Zollverein’s Fellowship Programme. Mazliah has created numorous works of his own, including ›The Manufactured series Duet#1‹ (2018), and realized productions in collaboration with other artists and companies such as ›In Act and Thought‹ (2015) for the Forsythe Company or ›Eifo Efi‹ (2013), ›Cover up‹ (2011) and ›Garden State‹ (2016) as part of the MAMAZA collective. Mazliah tours worldwide and remains a regular guest at PACT. In addition, he regularly teaches and leads ateliers and improvisation workshops for professional and non-professional dancers, as well as for visual art students.
