The Groupe Emile Dubois which was founded in 1979 became Centre Chorégraphique National de Grenoble in 1984. In 1984, with the sponsorship and help of the A.F.A.A (ASSOCIATION FRANCAISE D'ACTION ARTISTIQUE), the company became one of the principal cultural representatives of France, performing at the Olympic Arts Festival in Los Angeles during the '84 Olympics Games, as well as at the American Dance Festival in North Carolina and at the Holland Festival. The company has been on tour all over the world, performing in twenty three countries, among them Australia, Japan, the United States, Brazil and Mexico, as well as throughout Europe.
