Isabelle Schad
Dancer and choreographer Isabelle Schad studied ballet in Stuttgart and subsequently danced for six years with various classical companies before joining Ultima Vez in Brussels. Since 1999, she has developed numerous projects in collaboration with choreographers, performers, musicians and visual artists including Olga Mesa, Angela Guerreiro, Felix Ruckert and Eszter Salamon, which have been presented in theatres and art galleries and at festivals such as Tanz im August (Berlin), Internationale Tanzwochen (Vienna) and Dashanzi International Arts Festival (Beijing).
Within the framework of the Good Work project series that she initiated in collaboration with Ben Anderson and Bruno Pocheron, she has worked on various projects with artists including Benoit Lachambre, Martin Belanger, Nuno Bizarro, Manuel Pelmus, Frédéric Gies and Hanna Hedman.
Isabelle Schad, whose own choreographic works move at the interface of dance, performance and visual arts, has worked in residency and presented several productions at PACT including most recently ›Pieces and Elements‹ in 2017. On the occasion of her award in the context of the German Dance Prize 2019, Schad will show ›Collective Jumps‹ at PACT.
