Jérôme Bel

.Jérôme Bel is considered to be one of the top ranking experimental choreographers currently working in Europe. He is at the forefront of a new generation of dance makers whose work continually shifts between boundaries of dance, live art and performance and which transcends definition and labeling. Born in 1964, he studied at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers, France and from 1985 to 1991 danced with many choreographers in France and in Italy. In 1992 he assisted Philippe Découflé with the direction of the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics at Albertville. Today Bel lives in Paris and works worldwide with artists including Angelin Preljocaj, Joelle Bouvier and Régis Obadia, Daniel Larrier, Catherina Sagna and Xavier Le Roy
