Raimund Hoghe
Independent author and theatre maker, Raimund Hoghe was born in Wuppertal and now divides his time between in Dusseldorf and Brussels. He first came to public attention as the author of articles and a series of portraits of social outsiders and prominent figures published in the German newspaper DIE ZEIT. From 1980 to 1990, in addition to his writing, he w as a dramaturgical advisor to Pina Bausch and the Tanztheater Wuppertal. He created his first theatre piece "Forbidden Fruit" in 1989 in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Mark Sieczkarek and began performing himself in 1994. Raimund Hoghe was awarded the German Producers Prize for Choreography in 2001.
