Following the success of her durational performance ›Laughing Hole‹ at PACT Zollverein last year, choreographer and visual artist La Ribot returns to present the German premiere of her latest production ›El Triunfo de La Libertad‹ as part of the Ruhrtriennale 2014.

Recurring themes in La Ribot’s creative work are artistic, political and social fantasies engaging with transformation: the transformation of things, ways of seeing and, not least, ourselves.

The driving force behind her latest creation is a renewed cooperation with two of her long-standing collaborators, Juan Domínguez and Juan Loriente. In trusted alliance with these two exceptional, internationally recognised artists, ›El Triunfo de La Libertad‹ promises an interdisciplinary performance experience in keeping with La Ribot’s reputation for daring, humorous and enigmatic productions.
