The Cologne based American artist Peter Miller focuses frequently in his photographic and film work on the phenomenon of magic, optical illusions and the constitutive elements of film such as lenses, light, audiences and projection.


The starting point for his new installation series ›Means to See‹, created especially for tanz nrw 11, are associative considerations like ›Can a twin have a double?‹, ‹What does one hand clapping sound like on the radio?‹ or, ›If art is created in the middle of a forest and nobody is there to see it – so what?‹
