Something for the evening......an evening occasion. Something festive, celebratory. Something formal, official. Something distinguished. Something that observes certain rules. You conduct yourself. You're seen. You converse. Nothing confidential. Nothing personal. Something for the evening...
»In just 25 minutes, the choreographer develops a perfect and moving study of loneliness that vibrates with tension; many people in society, not only the old, find themselves in a wholly similar situation. In a room void of social contact, she's left with herself and, if she doesn't want to go mad, has to enter into dialogue with the lifeless objects around her. A table and chair almost come to life and, at least for a while, stand in for absent partners. The result is not a happy one, but is a most powerful piece of dance.« Jochen Schmidt, FAZ, 4.10.1999.
