The Forsythe Company
Study # 3
- Performance Choreography by William Forsythe
»There’s no exhilaration quite like that of a Forsythe Company evening. (...) Made up of out-takes from works created by Forsythe over the last 30 years (...) [Study #3] has a relentless forward drive, revealing of the
(...) choreographer’s preoccupation with the tragicomic nature of the human experience.« THE OBSERVER
›Study #3‹ revisits diverse vocal and motion elements drawn from pieces spanning 30 years of the career of one the world’s foremost choreographers, William Forsythe. The resulting re-presentation performed by 17 dancers allows a newly counterpointed kinetic opera to emerge from within contexts that are simultaneously
foreign and familiar.
