Tian Rotteveel
Tian Rotteveel (D/NL) is a Berlin based composer and performer, who studied music composition in the Netherlands (HKU & Royal Conservatory of the Hague) and dance and choreography in Germany (HZT Berlin). In his work he integrates sound and movement as one joined practice. Sound and movement in his work are both processes where each can materialize into production of meaning but as well can materialize into the mere production of sensation and pure intensity. Tian’s personal work has been shown in different theater stages and concert venues around the world, such as Chocolate Factory NYC, Frascati Theater (NL), Hebbel am Ufer theater (D), Sophiensaele Berlin (D), Kampnagel in Hamburg (D), Mousonturm in Frankfurt (D), Muziekgebouw a/h IJ in Amsterdam. Sadler's Wells in London(UK). Tian has worked as performer/composer with various makers such as Claire Vivianne Sobottke, Jeremy Wade, Tino Sehgal, Elpida Erfanidou, Herman Heisig, Martin Nachbar, Jeanine Durning, Diego Gil and others.
