On Stage
Fantastic, inventive, acrobatic and turbulent - that was the 'Kids Days' at PACT! Once again this year, children and families were offered a colorful program in the former pithead baths at Zollverein.
Camiel Corneille kicked things off with a spectacular and immersive experience. During the acrobatic sound theater 'Murmur', the young audience was surrounded by a dense sonic backdrop. The audience were allowed to carry the loudspeakers, some of which were packed in small rucksacks, on their backs or playfully pass them from hand to hand. Camiel Corneille moved between buzzing and vibrating loudspeakers, sometimes jumping, sometimes rolling, sometimes flying. But never without playfully showing off his acrobatic skills.
In 'crying creatures crying', Lee Méir invited the audience on an imaginative journey. As if in a dream, she created magical creatures and strange landscapes from everyday objects. Although the creatures were unable to speak a language, they were no less expressive and talkative. Away from the stage, visitors were able to create their very own fantasy creatures using bright colors, textiles and disguises.
