Jefta van Dinther, who last appeared at PACT Zollverein with his production GRIND, which won the Wild Card 2012 award at the NRW theater festival FAVORITEN 2012, has created his latest work in collaboration with the Brazilian choreographer and performer Thiago Granato. In ›THIS IS CONCRETE‹ two male bodies slowly interact, blurring the boundaries and limits between self and other. Imbedded in a sonic environment of dizzying beats and revolving shadows, the work ventures into intimate realms incorporating the volatile and uncertain; movements mutate into words, force into pleasure, talking into eating, sex into dancing, symbiosis into parasitism.
