Laurent Chétouane
TANZSTÜCK #3: DOPPEL / SOLO / EIN ABEND
- World premiere
- Performance Dance
In the first solo, Mathieu Burner dances the text ›vom ich‹ by choreographer Philipp Gehmacher, by placing his body in the path of speech. Thus he explores the potential of dance, jumping between the time and place of the alleged ›now‹ of current presence and the ›there‹ of the always already past. In this ›theoretical space‹, dancer Sigal Zouk recites lines from Hölderlin’s ›Empedokles‹ and goes in search of the body in our age of virtualisation – an age that makes space disappear and radically delivers us up to the mercy of time.
Accompanied by the improvisations of musician Leo Schmidthals – guitarist of the band Selig – a dialog emerges between memory and the now, between imagined body and reality.
