"I take everything from the world/from everyone” (Marguerite Duras)
"I'm gonna suck on the lollipop of everyone” (MC Carol)
In 1968, artist Lygia Clark said: "The House is the Body: Labyrinth". Thinking with her we now say: "The Street is the Body: Intrusion is Labyrinth".
We want the noises, the bifurcations, the unforeseen deviations, the turbulences, the shocks from the outside, from the street.
We want the nauseating sensation and the vertigo of swinging, of suspending, of entering into moving arrangements.
We want to move towards a labyrinthine dramaturgy - that leads and disorients - full of opacities, swerves and cuts; a dramaturgy that twists unity and clarity.
We don't want a condominium dance: fearful, closed, protected among its own.
We want a worldly (“mundana” in portuguese), filthy (“imunda” in portuguese) dance.
We load/we are loaded by the words of Artaud and Genet, by Grotowski's practice, which combines rigor and spontaneity, by the delirium and lucidity of the garbage collector Estamira when she says "I am the edge of the world" and by many others who embrace their stains.
