›Symphonia Harmoniæ Cælestium Revelationum (2019)‹ is the title of the project that François Chaignaud and Marie-Pierre Brébant are working on during their residency at PACT.

Our dream is to play – by heart – the entire body of Hildegard Von Bingen’s (1098-1179) musical work, adapted and reinvented for voice and bandura. To accompany this music with a visual art work which would be immaterial, digital or luminous. The coherence and force of Von Bingen’s musical work, the enigmas that her life and era present to our contemporary world, the aura that surrounds her personality, all inspire us to imagine a piece at the crossroads of performance, exhibition, music and dance. Reviving an art that heals alters the function that is given to museums and art. The creation will be observed through partnerships with the neuropsychologist Hervé Platel and the MNEMOSYNE project of the CNRS.

Our residency in PACT was the second rehearsal period for the production ›What, Where, When are we?!‹ a work that sets out to explore the question of whether identity is rooted in one space and time. It is a rhythmical approach to transnational and multidimensional embodied experiences. Four performers on stage, live drums, and radio stations create sound layers that interweave with body memories.

Continuing the investigation and convening different and varied sources of archives of iconographies of black women, Venus articulates the extensive selection of gestures present in the images and representations of black women of different origins and times, as well as Val Souza's own self-portrait, that she has been collecting in what she has been calling the Venus archive about 5,000 thousand images, 2,000 self-portraits that can be a source of analysis about possible similarities in the way black women are portrayed and represented.
