Auf dem Rasen im Kaiser-Wilhelm-Park kniet ein junger Mann mit zerzaustem, rotbraunem Haar. Er sieht sich um, wie um sicherzugehen, dass ihn niemand beobachtet. Fast rutsche ich in den Teich, weil ich mich im Schilf verstecke. Es besteht kein Zweifel, dass er es ist: Newt Scamander.

Wir stehen auf dem Parkplatz. Mit einem neongelben Stift zieht Beni eine Linie quer durch die Stadt. Als große Karte hat er sie ins Schaufenster der WerkStadt gehängt. Das ist Teil der kleinen Umfrage, die er zum Leben in Katernberg macht. Es dauert keine Minute, dann stellen sich zwei Nachbarn zu uns.
