In his most recent piece ›The Walk‹ dancer and choreographer Martin Nachbar, who last appeared at PACT Zollverein in 2011 with his production ›nach Hause‹, invites the audience to accompany him and his four collaborators on foot once around the block of the former pit head bath building which today houses PACT Zollverein. Walking, running, or moving backwards together as a crowd, the participants become protagonists in a performance which interacts with the striking backdrop of the Zollverein complex and in which the journey itself is the goal.
